| Background | Originally named St James' Young People's Guild Operatic Society, it was founded in 1947 by the Rev Francis Rees. The first Musical Director was Bob Gillard and Producer was Bert Oaten. Their first production was The Emerald Isle, which opened during Jan 1948 at Cardiff High School for Boys, Newport Road. |
