| Background | In 1991, the Glamorgan Record Office and the Welsh Industrial and Maritime Museum collaborated to produce an exhibition on ‘Hughesovka – A Welsh Adventure in Imperial Russia’. The exhibition was on display at the Welsh Industrial and Maritime Museum in Cardiff from June to August 1991, moved to Merthyr Tydfil in September and Pontypridd in November, and finally to County Hall, Swansea in December 1991. The exhibition (with text translated into Russian, an additional introductory panel, and the title ‘Hughesovka through British Eyes’) was taken to the Ukraine in Spring 1992, where it was displayed in three locations. |
