BackgroundYnyshir is a modern parish situated on the river Rhondda-fach in the Rhondda Valley. It was created in 1887 with Wattstown from Llanwonno parishes and is in the rural deanery of Rhondda in the diocese of Llandaff. The parish church is dedicated to St Anne. St Anne's church closed in 2017.
